1. Serve – long or short
2. Drive – A powerfully hit forehand or backhand stroke which just clears the Forehand top of the net.
3. Forehand Lob
• This shot would normally be played from the forecourt in an underarm action.The aim is to lift or 'lob' the shuttle over your opponent and aim to make the shuttle land as near to the baseline as possible without hitting it out.
4. Backhands
• The correct technique for a backhand stroke will allow you to hit the shuttle at your backhand area when it’s in mid-air (above your head).Therefore, the swinging pattern for badminton is very different. It’s only with correct technique that you’ll be able to generate a lot of power as well as perform quality backhand shots.
5. Drop Shot
• a ball or shuttlecock so softly hit that it falls to the playing surface just after clearing the net.
6. Smash Shot
• Badminton Smash is the most potent of all badminton shots. There is almost no defense against a well executed smash. It can be played both on the forehand and backhand sides.
7. Basic Footwork
